<p>A method and system for conducting measurement are disclosed by the present invention. The method includes: a report state of a measurement task is detected; when the report state is that the current measurement task has been finished or will not continue to be reported, the user equipment (UE) no longer measures the current measurement task; or when the report state is that the current measurement task has not been finished or will continue to be reported, UE continues to measure the current measurement task. Using the present invention, the UE avoids performing unnecessary measurements when a measurement task does not need reporting, and the measurement burden of UE is reduced.</p> |
