The device (21) has a chassis supported against an edge from a drawing pit. A box support (29) receives a branch box mounted on an optical cable so as to immobilize the box during intervention. A connection unit (39) connects the box support with the chassis. The connection unit authorizes positioning of the box support inside the drawing pit. The chassis includes a frame (23) installed on an edge of a body of the drawing pit, where the body normally receives a lid of the drawing pit. The box support includes a plate (30) on which the branch box is fixed.
