PURPOSE: A parking brake apparatus of a disk brake is provided to easily manufacture and inspect a cam unit changing the rotational motion of a parking brake lever to the linear motion of a piston. CONSTITUTION: A parking brake apparatus of a disk brake comprises a caliper housing, a cylinder, a piston(112), a cam unit(130) and a push rod(125). The caliper housing comprises a finger portion and a main body portion in order to adhere closely a pad plate installed in both sides of the disk to the disk. The cylinder is formed in the main body member of the caliper housing. The piston is slidingly formed with the cylinder and the pad plate is transferred with the fluid pressure or the mechanically generated thrust to the disk. The cam device is formed at the behind of the cylinder in order to change the rotational motion of the parking brake lever to the linear motion of the piston. The cam unit comprises an operating shaft(131), a lamp(134) and a ball(137). Ball is allowed in between shaft and lamp. The ball is located between the shaft and lamp and is moved along the first guide groove(138) and second guide groove(139) of the operating shaft and lamp. The push rod transfers the linear motion of the cam unit to the piston.
