PURPOSE: Coordinate identification apparatus and method of an object are provided to form a multi touch screen having excellent accuracy and reliability on a screen with the large area. CONSTITUTION: A coordinate identification apparatus of an object comprises the following: a screen; laser film generation units generating a laser film(20) separated from the screen; and a photo diode(30) recognizing the reflection light of the laser film reflected from the object passing through the laser film. The laser film generation units form one laser film on the same flat surface using non-visible light.
