<p>PURPOSE: A portable terminal and method for inputting letters thereof are provided to enable a user to easily input a letter in which a user desires. CONSTITUTION: A touch input device(101) is formed on a display unit. A memory(107) stores letter information expressing a letter corresponding to the touch type in a predetermined area of a display unit. A control unit(109) processes an input of the touch input device by receiving the input. The control unit compares the touch information and the letter information which is outputted from the touch input device to a letter input mode. The control unit displays the letter corresponding to the touch information to the display unit.</p> |
