The crash structure has a deformation body (VK) for retaining crash energy such that the deformation body is plastically deformed at a deformation structure (VJK). A sensor system (S) outputs a signal depending on which the deformation structure is adjusted. The sensor system is arranged on a plate shaped sensor base (SB) that is arranged in such a manner that deformation body slid between the sensor base and the deformation structure during deformation. The sensor base is fixed by spring force and comprises a trapezoidal cross section.
