PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor and a gas detector of which a diffusion control hole is prevented from being clogged with dew condensation, and the conductivity is also prevented from being lost.

SOLUTION: A ventilation control device is comprised of a conductor equipped with a gap becoming a gas passage. On a conductor surface in the vicinity of the gas passage, a polymer thin film is coated which is hydrophobic and equipped with conductivity in a direction vertical to the conductor surface.
