<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an universal head system which has simple structure requiring no expensive position detecting mechanism in addition, is made hard to be under the influence of signal delay caused by a transmission channel between an operating device and a remote control universal head, and can output position information with higher accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: An universal head system comprises: a CPU 211 which converts operation instructions output from an operating device 10 into drive control signals corresponding to operation of zooming/focusing/tilting/panning/iris and also calculates an operation predicted position of the zooming/focusing/tilting/panning/iris based on the converted drive control signals; and a position information communicating unit 217 which outputs the calculated operation predicted position as operation predicted position information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
