摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect feature points stably even if a concealed region is present. <P>SOLUTION: A feature point extracting device includes: an object detection unit 101 that detects an object from input images; a weight setting unit 102A that sets a weight for each feature point by using a likelihood A supplied from the object detection unit; a learning result storing unit 104 that includes a shape model showing a statistical positional relationship of the feature points and a profile showing a predetermined range of feature amount with respect to each of the positions of the feature points; a candidate point searching unit 103 that searches best candidate position of each feature point; and a shaping processing unit 105 that projects candidate points on the shape model by using a shape factor.
