<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable comprising an optical fiber conductor coated with an outer sheath made of thermoplastic synthetic resin material in which friction between the optical fiber conductor and the outer sheath is appropriately adjusted, and in which the optical fiber conductor can be inhibited from protruding or pulling with respect to the outer sheath at a terminal portion, so that the outer sheath can be removed with ease and transmission loss within an outer sheath holding connector can be inhibited from increasing. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical fiber conductor 1, at least one of a coating material forming an outermost layer thereof and a material forming an outer sheath 3 coating the optical fiber conductor 1 contains silicon component.
