An automated high-precision plunger pump for volumes below one microliter which is used for the microscope-assisted manipulation of biological material comprises a housing (1) and a pump head (8) which defines a working chamber (9) having a common or separate inlet and outlet (10), the volume of the working chamber (9) being modifiable by means of an axially movable plunger (7) that can be introduced into the chamber. The plunger (7) is axially movable by means of a threaded spindle (5) or a spindle nut (6) which is in threaded engagement on the threaded spindle (5) and the threaded spindle (5) and/or the spindle nut (6) is designed such that it can be rotationally driven and the other can be rotationally fixed. |
