<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a communication method which realize stabilization of communication characteristics without substantially increasing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device 10 is a communication device for a transmission side in human body communication. It comprises a pair of signal electrodes 11 and 12 electrostatically coupled with a human body 3 and an ambient environment of the human body 3; a transmission unit 13 for applying power to the pair of signal electrodes 11 and 12; a determination unit 18 for determining whether or not there is control of transmission signal power in human body communication; a measurement unit 17 for measuring reflection power caused by the power applied by the transmission unit 13 based on the determination by the determination unit 18; and a transmission power control unit 14 for controlling transmission signal power in human-body communication based on the reflection power measured by the measurement unit 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
