<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform embedding and reading of secret data by a simple and easy method in an electrophoresis display device. <P>SOLUTION: A method of driving of an electrophoresis display device comprises a first displaying step of displaying a first color by attracting first particles and second particles to a common electrode in such a manner that the first particles and the second particles are alternately laminated, a second displaying step of displaying a second color by attracting the first particles and the second particles to the common electrode in such a manner that the first particles and the second particles are mixed with each other, a third displaying step of displaying a third color by attracting the first particles and the second particles to a pixel electrode in such a manner that the first particles and the second particles are alternately laminated while attracting a third particles to the common electrode, and a fourth displaying step of displaying the third color by attracting the first particles and the second particles to the pixel electrode in such a manner that the first particles and the second particles are mixed with each other while attracting the third particles to the common electrode.
