#CMT# #/CMT# The device (2) has two hydraulic piston cylinder units (9, 11) operable in opening and closing direction (6, 5) of a door, respectively. A third hydraulic piston cylinder unit (14) operating in a stroke direction (4) of the door to lock the door in an end position. A hydraulic pump (21) changes hydraulic actuation of the three units to move the door in the opening, closing and stroke directions, respectively. The pump is driven with an electric drive unit (18) i.e. electromotor. A hydraulic control line is connected with the cylinder units for hydraulic control pressure of a return valve (33). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Hydraulic positioning device for use in a hydraulic actuator for a swingable door casement of a vehicle e.g. hybrid vehicle i.e. bus (all claimed). Can also be used for a van, a train and a tram. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The positioning device achieves requirements of a drive of the door of a vehicle in a simple and reliable manner while having a simple structure and reducing noise of the vehicle even when the vehicle has a compressed air unit. The positioning device is provided with separate piston cylinder units for movement of the door in the opening direction, the closing direction and the stroke direction, thus enabling several degrees of freedom for movement of the door in the opening direction, the closing direction and the stroke direction in a simple and cost-effective manner using a single electric drive unit, and hence reducing the space consumption in the vehicle.
