<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting fixture for vehicle that allows a driver to intuitively recognize a pedestrian or the like ahead of a vehicle and position thereof. <P>SOLUTION: When a high-beam light distribution pattern is formed, a projector type lighting unit 20 having a movable shade 28 is used for forming an additional light distribution pattern to be added to a low-beam light distribution pattern. The movable shade 28 is configured to be located at a light-shielding position that shields light other than the light for forming a central region of the additional light distribution pattern. When a pedestrian ahead of the vehicle is detected on the basis of image data obtained from an on-board camera 52, a light source 24a is turned on and an actuator 30 is driven to move the movable shade 28 to the light-shielding position, while driving a swivel mechanism 40 to turn the lighting unit 20 in the horizontal direction to a position where the pedestrian is irradiated with the central region of the additional light distribution pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
