<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel inhibitors of matrix metallproteinase enzymes (MMPs). <P>SOLUTION: The inhibitors are compounds shown by Formula (I). As the concrete compounds, 5-biphenyl-4-yl-2-[2-(1,3-dioxo-1,3-dihydro-2H-isoindole-2-yl)ethyl]-3-hydroxy pentanoic acid, 5-biphenyl-4-yl-3-hydroxy-2-[2-(3-methyl-2,6-dioxo-3,6-dihydropyrimidine-1(2H)-yl) ethyl]pentanoic acid or the like is exemplified and is effective in treating autoimmune diseases or inflammatory diseases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
