<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding device that can enhance a material yield, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A winding device 60 has electrode sheet feeding mechanisms 61,62 for feeding electrode sheets 5, 6 and separator sheet feeding mechanisms 63,64 for feeding separator sheets 3,4. Respective sheets fed by the respective sheet feeding mechanisms 61 to 64 are wound as a battery element with being laminated in a winding mechanism 65. A discarded material winding mechanism 80 is provided to the electrode sheet feeding mechanisms 61,62.
