<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covered electric wire having improved abrasion resistance and a method for manufacturing thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A die 6 has a protruding portion 61 fitted into an edge portion 2C, which is the one of vibrators 2C and 2D that is on the extrusion side, and the protruding portion 61 has an edge face 61A at a position where the maximum oscillation amplitude of other vibrators 2C and 2D are achieved. From a guide hole 65 of the die 6, a covered electric wire W is pulled out. Thus, supersonic vibration achieves the maximum at the position of the edge face 61A of the protruding portion 61 of the die 6. With this configuration, fused resin 14 passing the edge face 61A is subjected to the supersonic vibration at the maximum to be softened adequately and experience a reduced friction resistance from the inner wall of the die 6, thereby providing a covered wire W with smooth surface and improved abrasion resistance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
