<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables the interest of a game to be enhanced by executing a specific performance even after an advantageous state. <P>SOLUTION: A start area control means carries out control so that a start area may be of a second size for a longer period in a second approach ratio control state than in a first approach ratio control state. A performance control means causes a performance means to carry out specific performance operation during the second approach ratio control state.
