<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply which can be downsized, and in which the number of components and manufacturing steps can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A switching power supply includes electronic components 2 constituting a switching circuit 13. The electronic components 2 are stored in a housing case 3. Also, a pedestal 4, on which the electronic components 2 are placed, is integrally formed with the housing case 3. A coolant passage 5 penetrating the pedestal 4 is formed so as to make at least two openings on an external surface 30 of the housing case 3.
