<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound that can prevent endothelial function disorders, can maintain the vascular function in a healthy state, allows oral ingestion, is safe for continuous long term ingestion, and exhibits eNOS (endothelial nitric oxide synthase) activity. <P>SOLUTION: There are disclosed an imidazolone derivative represented by formula (1) [in the formula, R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>represents a hydrogen atom or a 1-10C alkyl group; R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>represents a 1-10C alkyl group comprising at least one hydroxy group; and R<SB POS="POST">3</SB>represents a 1-10C alkyl group that may contain an amino group and/or a carboxy group, provided that R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is not a 2,3,4-trihydroxybutyl group if R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>is a hydrogen atom and R<SB POS="POST">3</SB>is -(CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>)<SB POS="POST">3</SB>-CH(NH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>)CO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>H], and a salt thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
