<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushion for a front passenger seat air bag device having reduced capacity and stabilized cooperation when inflated and expanded. <P>SOLUTION: A method is provided for manufacturing a cushion 10 of the front passenger seat air bag device 1, which is formed by sewing side edges of base fabrics constituting a main panel 12 and right and left side panels 14 to include a part having an arbitrary curvature. The method includes: sewing the main panel 12 and the side panels 14 to form an opening whose short side is a width of the side panel 14 and long side is a width of the main panel 12 at the start and the end of sewing the main panel 12 and the side panel 14; and sewing the short side and the long side by folding the short side into the opening to form the part having the arbitrary curvature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
