<p>The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for processing IEEE 1588V2 messages. The method includes: timestamping the outcoming and incoming event messages of a network port (S301); bearing the timestamps of the event messages in the messages and transmitting them to a processor (S302). The method can effectively improve the processing efficiency and is applicable to core network devices, thus satisfying the processing requirements.</p>
