EMPTY-WEIGHT TWO-STAGE FRICTIONAL LOWER SIDE BEARING FOR USE IN RAILWAY FREIGHT CAR BOGIE

<p>An empty-weight two-stage frictional lower side bearing for use in the railway freight car bogie, comprises a side bearing outer sleeve pressure plate (7) whose top part is equipped with empty-load frictional plates (3), a side bearing inner base (6) whose upper part is provided with a pressing block (2) of the inner seat of the side bearing, and a heavy-load frictional plate (1) equipped on the top part of the pressing block (2) of the inner seat of the side bearing. The friction coefficient µk of the empty-load frictional plates (3) is greater than the friction factor µz of the heavy-load frictional plate (1). An elastic element (5) is provided between the side bearing inner base (6) and a side bearing outer sleeve (4) to control the vertical position relative to each other. The horizontal position of the empty-load frictional plates (3) under empty state is higher than that of the heavy-load frictional plate (1). The horizontal positions of the empty-load frictional plates (3) under heavy load state are flush with that of the heavy-load frictional plate (1). A railway freight car bogie provided with such a lower side bearing has a higher critical speed during empty-load state and better curve passing ability during heavy-load state.</p>
