<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device capable of detecting the temperature rise of a chip surface temperature of a flywheel diode 22 without providing the flywheel diode 22 with a circuit for temperature detection and without using circuits such as a highly-accurate voltage detection circuit and a peak hold circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature of a switching element 21 is detected by a temperature monitor diode 23, and further, the magnitude of the heat generation of the flywheel diode 22 and the magnitude of the heat generation of the switching element 21 are compared on the basis of the operation state of the switching element 21 and the operation state of a motor 15. Then, on the basis of the comparison result, the temperature of the flywheel diode 22 is estimated. When the temperature of the switching element 21 is higher, drive can be continued until the switching element 21 reaches an allowable temperature. When the temperature of the flywheel diode 22 is higher, a control state is appropriately changed and the temperature rise of the flywheel diode 22 is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
