METHOD FOR PRODUCING SOLID MATERIAL FROM MOLASSES OR LIQUID IN WHICH SUGAR IS REMOVED FROM MOLASSES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have excellent storage stability of solid material (product) and to concentrate useful components in molasses or a liquid in which sugar is removed from molasses (hereinafter, molasses kind) in a product in solidification of the molasses kind.

SOLUTION: The method for producing a solid material from a molasses kind includes mixing the molasses kind with a silicon dioxide having apparent specific gravity of ≥150 g/L and drying the mixture to give the solid material. The ratio of the solid material weight of molasses or a liquid in which sugar is removed from molasses to the silicon dioxide weight (except water content) is 50:50-80:20 and the water content of the solid material is ≤10 wt.%.
