<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new hydrogen storage alloy which has excellent corrosion resistance by approach totally different from the conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a hydrogen storage alloy includes: a casting step of mixing hydrogen storage alloy raw materials, melting the mixture and performing casting; and a heat treatment step of subjecting the cast alloy to heat treatment. In the heat treatment step, before the objective temperature (called as holding temperature) is held, previous heat treatment of increasing the temperature to the one higher than the holding temperature, and thereafter lowering the temperature to the holding temperature (the previous heat treatment is called as [overshoot] in this specification) is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
