<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner configured to facilitate mounting a light guide body and having an increased display portion. <P>SOLUTION: An air flow path forming body internally formed with an air flow path W communicating with the suction side of an electric fan includes the light guide body 57 having one end side positioned at one end side of an extension tube 22, and having the display portion 88 on the other end side, along a longitudinal direction of the extension tube 22. While one end side of the extension tube 22 is connected to a hand control unit of a hose body, the light guide body 57 guides light emitted from a light emitter from the one end side to the display portion 88.
