<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for knitting a multicolor sock, allowing any multicolor pattern of the sock to be formed. <P>SOLUTION: Knitting operation is controlled to complete a sock through the steps of (a) separating colors with a main control computer of a jacquard knitting machine according to a color scheme of the sock and constructing instruction for hooking yarns, (b) selecting colors of jacquard color yarns and total number of the color yarns, mounting the color yarns on yarn frames, and correspondingly arranging the color yarns of up to 46 different colors in total at all the knitting sets of yarn feeding port supporting frame disk of a jacquard knitting machine, and (c) allowing the main control computer of the jacquard knitting machine to control a carrier according to a sequence of the instruction for hooking yarns. Through the steps, any multicolor patterns can be formed, allowing the carrier in each knitting set to knit a sock having 20 to 46 colors with change of the color yarns in the same row. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
