<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of a user, in a relay technology for converting a multicast frame into a unicast frame and transferring the unicast frame. <P>SOLUTION: A relay apparatus of transferring a received multicast frame to the other communication apparatus at a predetermined communication rate, converts the received multicast frame into a unicast frame, sets a communication rate relatively faster than the predetermined communication rate, and transfers the unicast frame to the other communication apparatus at the communication rate. The relay apparatus determines the availability of the unicast frame to be converted and transmitted in an application, based on a predetermined condition.
