<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document conveying device which ensures and facilitates switchback conveyance by minimizing the contact of a preceding document with a following document which are simultaneously conveyed in the overlapped state to shorten a treatment time for the double-sided documents, and which can reliably guide the separated documents to a paper discharge tray without allowing the separated documents to be drawn thereinto. <P>SOLUTION: The document conveying device includes a paper discharge path 45 for guiding a document toward the paper discharge tray 22 via a document reading position, a pair of paper discharge rollers 43 which are installed on the downstream side of the paper discharge path 45, which discharge the document to the paper discharge tray 22, and which switch back and convey the document, a switchback path which switches back the document from a document reading part and guides the document to the downstream side of the paper discharge path 45, and a separating sheet member 50 which is disposed between a connection position 38 where the switchback path is connected to the paper discharge path 45 and the pair of paper discharge rollers 43 and which separates the document in the paper discharge path 45 and the document guided from the switchback path to the paper discharge path 45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
