<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a configuration for carrying out both-side printing becomes complex and large. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus has: a recording head 14, which forms an image onto paper 3 by discharging liquid droplets; a conveyance belt 23, which is wound between a plurality of rollers 21 and 22 and conveys paper 3 by electrostatic adsorption; and an inversion path. Upon both-side printing, the paper 3 having one surface on which an image is formed by the recording head 14 is sent from the conveyance belt 23, the paper 3 is switched back in the downstream side of the paper conveyance direction of the conveyance belt 23, and the inversion path sends the paper again to the upstream side of the paper conveyance direction of the recording head 14 of the conveyance belt 23. In the conveyance belt 23, a part that is opposed to the recording head 14 and conveys the paper 3 is a first conveyance part, and a part that moves in the direction opposite to the first conveyance part is a second conveyance part.
