A power self-generating device for a wheel consists of a tread plate (3), a lever (2), a lever bracket (5), a lever fulcrum (6), a power wheel (9), a power gear (8), a control gear (7) and a gas-tight rubber cover (12). Four or more power self-generating devices for a wheel are evenly mounted on a wheel hub (4) and in a tire (1) along the circumferential direction. By using the principle that the gravity of a vehicle body generates pressing and treading power on the ground-engaging portion of a moving wheel tire in turn, the power is transmitted to the lever (2) via the tread plate (3). The lever (2) is connected to the tread plate (3) and generates a lever movement under the action of the fulcrum (6). The lever movement is converted into the rotation of the power gear (8) via the power wheel (9). Under the control of the control gear (7), the power gear (8) drives the wheel to rotate so that a vehicle can run ahead. Alternately, the power is transmitted to a driving shaft of the vehicle via the control gear (7), thereby enabling the driving shaft to rotate and a generator mounted on the vehicle to generate electricity.
