POLYNUCLEOTIDE ENCODING NF-YB DERIVED FROM JATROPHA AND UTILIZATION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a jatropha transformant by identifying a Jatropha gene encoding NF-YB and using the gene as a means for generating a transformed Jatropha with drought stress tolerance.

SOLUTION: There are disclosed: an isolated DNA represented by a specific base sequence encoding NF-YB transcription factor derived from Jatropha; a Jatropha plant-transforming vector in which the DNA is incorporated; a transformant including the vector; and a transformed Jatropha with drought stress tolerance which is transformed by using the vector and is able to overexpress NF-YB compared with a wild type Jatropha plant.
