<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation method using a solar battery capable of raising a power generation amount. <P>SOLUTION: This solar battery power generation system 1 has a plurality of power generation panels 2 and a power conditioner 9. The power generation panels 2 and a radiation source 11 are installed in a hermetically sealed solar battery storage chamber 12 formed underground. The radiation source 11 contains radioactive residues containing long half-life radioactive nuclide generated in re-treatment of used nuclear fuels. In each power generation panel 2, a phosphor 4, a reflector 5, and a deceleration member 6 are sequentially provided on a solar battery 3 installed on a substrate 8. Radiation rays, for example, γ-rays, emitted from the radiation source 11 are made incident on the power generation panel 2, decelerated by the deceleration member 6, and energy is reduced. When the energy becomes 100 keV or less, visible light to be generated by the phosphor 4 is made incident on the solar battery 3 by incidence of the γ-rays with 100 keV or less on the phosphor 4, and the power is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
