<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell evaluation device which can evaluate cells by a relatively simple method. <P>SOLUTION: The cell evaluation device includes an image-reading portion for reading a plurality of pictures in which a plurality of cells cultured in a culture container are imaged in a time series state, a characteristic quantity calculation portion for determining a plurality of different characteristic quantities exhibiting a plurality of different morphological characteristics of cells in the cells contained in the images from the pictures, a characteristic quantity-deciding portion for deciding whether it is suitable to evaluate the target characteristics for evaluating the cells with the characteristic quantities about the characteristic quantities corresponding to a plurality of the images, respectively, a continuity-deciding portion for deciding whether the decision results of the characteristic quantities in the characteristic quantity-deciding portion are continuous in a time series state about the characteristic quantities, respectively, and a calculation model-building portion for building a calculation model for combining the characteristic quantities determined in the characteristic quantity calculation portion with the decision results obtained in the continuity-deciding portion to evaluate the characteristics in the cells. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
