THERAPEUTIC DRUG OF HIGHLY PATHOGENIC AVIAN INFLUENZA VIRUS H5N1 INFECTION AIMING AT ENDOTHELIN RECEPTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that anti-neuraminidase drug for blocking generation of virus envelopes may not be effective for sudden death that may be due to not only proliferation of infection virus but also other abnormal kinetics such as cytokine storm while avian influenza virus H5N1 type could not only cause severe symptoms or lesions but also kill cocks in a short period of time without inducing such symptoms or lesions.

SOLUTION: Endothelin receptor antagonist is contained in avian influenza virus therapeutic drug considering finding that cause of sudden death may be vasoconstriction inspired by endothelin induced by viral infection. Specifically, bosentan hydrate is used. Antibody binding to the endothelin receptor may be also used.
