<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coolant discharge device from which cooling water pooled inside a cask can be efficiently discharged, and to provide a coolant discharge method. <P>SOLUTION: In the coolant discharge device from which the cooling water pooled in the inside of the cask having a radioactive material stored therein can be discharged to the outside, the cask has a circulation hole communicating the inside with the outside provided therein, and includes a drain pipe 105 inserted into the circulation hole so that the tip reaches the bottom of the cask, and a water suction pump connected to the rear end of the drain pipe 105 and capable of sucking the coolant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
