MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HEUSLER-TYPE IRON-BASED THERMOELECTRIC MATERIAL POWDER AND HEUSLER-TYPE IRON-BASED THERMOELECTRIC MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of Heusler-type thermoelectric material of Fe2VAl group with a small amount of impurity and good thermoelectric property, as well as the method being capable of reducing manufacturing time of the thermoelectric material and cost.

SOLUTION: The thermoelectric material is manufactured through steps of: melting a raw material of Fe2VAl group Heusler-type compound; pulverizing the molten metal by rapidly solidifying using a gas atomizing method; and directly sintering a powder which is used as the thermoelectric material and contains 70% or more of the powder having an aspect ratio of 5 or less thus manufactured through the melting and pulverizing, without undergoing a further pulverizing process.
