<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the impact displacement of ink that is caused by the steady or periodic deviation of rate for conveying a recording medium, which occurs in recording while conveying the recording medium at a steady rate. <P>SOLUTION: A recording apparatus controls a record timing to discharge ink after a predetermined delay time on the basis of an encoder edge of a signal of a rotary encoder installed in a conveying roller. An ink impact position is regulated by: dividing one rotation of the rotary encoder installed in the conveying roller into two or more phase domains for the rate variation of the recording medium; changing an angle range of each phase domain and the number of recording dots into parameters such as a paper kind and a diameter of the conveying roller; and calculating the record timing from the value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
