<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain in real-time a clear microscopic observation image which has a high spatial resolution without imparting any influence on mass spectrometry even while performing the analysis. <P>SOLUTION: An opening 1a is formed in a stage 1 on which a sample plate 2 is mounted and the sample plate 2 is made clear or translucent. A microscopic observation part made from an observation optical system 20 and a CCD camera 21 is arranged below the stage 1, obtains an observation image of a rear side of a sample 3 by passing through the opening 1a of the stage 1 and the sample plate 2 and displays the image on a display of a display part 27. When the sample 3 is a biological tissue fragment, the observation image from the rear side is substantially the same as the observation image from the front side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
