CONNECTOR DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BRANCH CONDUCTOR FOR CONNECTOR DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide branch conductors for a connector device in which the branch conductors used for a first branch connector and a second branch connector mutually used in a pair are obtained at low cost.

SOLUTION: A contact belt 44 is manufactured which has a plurality of pin contacts 42 and a plurality of socket contacts 43 formed at side portions 41A and 41B of a belt-like coupling piece 41 respectively in arrays at a pitch P1 such that the respective pin contacts 42 and the respective socket contacts 43 are shifted by a length L1 a half as large as the array pitch P1 from each other along the length of the coupling piece 41. The coupling piece 41 is cut along cutting lines 46A and 46B set at a predetermined cutting pitch P3 to alternately manufacture branch conductors 47 each having two pin contacts 42 and one socket contact 43 and branch conductors 48 each having one pin contact 42 and two socket contacts 43.
