AN APPARATUS AND ITS METHOD FOR TREATING HEAVY METAL INCLUDED CONTAMINATED MEDIA

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for treating heavy metals contained in a contaminated medium are provided to reduce a cost required for entire processes by maximizing the availability of contaminated soil after a washing process and recycling washing water and suspension particles. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for treating heavy metals contained in a contaminated medium includes a washing bath(10), a particle classifying unit(20), a mixing bath(40), and an ultrasound wave treating unit(50). The washing bath washes the contaminated medium which is contaminated with heavy metals. The particle classifying unit classifies fine particles from the washed medium. The mixing bath mixes the classified fine particles with phosphate. The ultrasound wave treating unit stirs the mixture and irradiates ultrasound wave to the mixture to form apatite crystals. A cyclone(60) separates the fine particles and the phosphate solution containing apatite crystals.
