POWER SOURCE UNIT AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source unit with a small amount of leakage current, easy noise countermeasure and low manufacturing cost.

SOLUTION: A power source unit 600 comprises: a power source line 601 for supplying power from an alternating power source 101 to an AC/DC converter 610; a heater line 602 for supplying the power from the AC power source 101 to a heater 401a; and an on/off section 605 which is a double pole switch having a first switch 605a and a second switch 605b as the two contact sections. A live line L of the AC power source 101 is connected to a power source line 601 through first switch 605a. A neutral line N of the AC power source 101 is connected to the heater line 602 through the second switch 605b. Since one of the two switches 605a and 605b of the double pole switch has connection of the power line 601 turned on/off and the other switch has the connection of the heater line 602 turned on/off, the leaking current when the switches are turned off is made comparatively small.
