<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow appropriate operation for a vehicle according to a status by receiving a power generation command from the outside of a main body and transmitting a power generation control state in response to the power generation command to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: This controller for vehicular alternator includes a minimum value selector for comparing the on-duty of a switching element based on a power generation command inputted from the outside of a controller body to the on-duty of the switching element calculated inside the controller body, selecting the smaller on-duty of both on-duties and controlling on-off of the switching element.
