<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can accurately calculate fluorescence intensity from each fluorescent dye, making effective use of measurement data of all photodetectors, irrespective of the number of fluorescent dyes, when a multi-color measurement of a microparticle labeled with multiple fluorescent dyes is performed by multiple photodetectors. <P>SOLUTION: In the fluorescence intensity correction method, a microparticle multiply labeled with multiple fluorescent dyes having overlapped fluorescence wavelength bands is irradiated with light, to excite a fluorescent dye and cause the fluorescence to be generated from the fluorescent dye. The fluorescence is received by photodetectors having different light reception wavelengths, the number of which is more than the number of fluorescent dyes. A measuring spectrum obtained by collecting measurement values from each photodetector is approximated by a linear sum of single dye spectrum obtained at a microparticle labeled with each fluorescent dye individually. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
