<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mounting workability of a differential pressure detector 163 for detecting the differential pressure between the intake air pressure in an air intake system 73 and an exhaust gas pressure in an exhaust gas system 71, in an engine 70 provided with an EGR device 91 for recirculating part of exhaust gas as EGR gas, which flows from an exhaust gas system 71, to the air intake system 73. <P>SOLUTION: A differential pressure detector 163 is attached to a head cover 160 for covering the upper part of a cylinder head 72. An intake air pressure extraction passage 166 communicating with the air intake system 73 is formed in the cylinder head 72. An intake air pressure introduction passage 169 connecting to the differential pressure detector 163 is formed in the head cover 160. The intake air pressure extraction passage 166 and the intake air pressure introduction passage 169 are constructed so as to communicate with each other. This configuration eliminates the need for a dedicated stay for attaching the differential pressure detector 163 thereto and the need for external piping for introducing the intake air pressure into the differential pressure detector 163. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
