<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus capable of automatically altering its scanning range in accordance with FOV (Field of view) differences. <P>SOLUTION: In the X-ray CT apparatus, a subject P is irradiated with an X-ray beam having a prescribed width in the body axis direction of the subject through an X-ray tube 111, which enables the so-called multi-slice computed tomography. By using Feldkamp reconstruction method, the X-ray CT apparatus keeps CT images of the subject reconstructed from projection data obtained through helical scanning. In such a case, the X-ray CT apparatus includes a control means which automatically determines the distance in the helical scanning as X(P1) or X(P2) according to FOV differences ("S" or "L") in regard to the subject P1 or P2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
