<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display capable of displaying whether or not the communication data from a master is in accordance with the communication protocol of the display when the display is a slave. <P>SOLUTION: When the display and an external device perform communication using a communication protocol of the device under such configuration as the external device of a micro computer board is a master while the display is a slave, the display displays a communication protocol 3b that is used, a communication direction 3c representing a sender of the data, a communication data 3d, and an IDLE3f representing non communication period. It compares and analyzes the communication data from the external device with a predetermined communication protocol.
