<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device that can suppress conflict for a space with the other member, and can spread a design flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission device 1 includes: housing and supporting an orthogonal gear set 38 composed of a ring gear 33 and a pinion gear 37, which are orthogonally engaged with each other, in a distribution case 5; dividedly forming the distribution case 5 at a first case 65 and a second case 67 by using divided faces 63 along the rotation axial core of the ring gear 33; and joining the divided faces 63, and connecting the first and second cases 65, 67 to each other with a bolt 69. In the device, the pinion gear 37 is offset-arranged at a vertical upper part or lower part with respect to the ring gear 33, and the divided faces 63 are formed so as to be tilted in a direction in which the divided faces oppose the tip of the pinion gear 37. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
